Framed by the Odle Group, the beautiful village of Santa Maddalena is a dream set in the Val di Funes, one of the most picturesque valleys in Italy. Located at an altitude of 1339 meters, it has about 370 inhabitants and is home to a church surrounded by a unique panorama, built at the place where, according to legend, the Rio Fopal river dragged the painting of St. Magdalena down into the valley.
The Ranuihof farm with the Church of St. John in Ranui, a small Baroque frescoed church built in 1744 by Michael von Jenner, is particularly noteworthy.
