The parish church of Ortisei, a religious building of great historical and artistic value, dates back to the late Baroque period and was enlarged at the beginning of the 20th century with the construction of two side aisles. It was then built between 1791 and 1796 in neoclassical style with baroque elements by Matthäus Wachter, while the paintings on the domes are due to the brothers Franz Xaver and Josef Kirchebner (1795-1796).
Decorated with paintings, statues and pictures (including a statue of St. Ulrich by Ludwig Moroder and an altarpiece depicting the Adoration of the Magi by Josef Moroder-Lusenberg), as well as valuable woodwork, it is one of the most interesting sacred buildings in the area.
