In the heart of the Belluno Dolomites, about ten kilometres from Cortina, lies the small and spectacular Sorapis lake, at an altitude of 1,923 metres, surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage peaks and the historic Alfonso Vandelli refuge. It can be reached by following path 215 of the Italian Alpine Club from the Tre Croci pass, in a slight up and down that deserves for the beauty of the places it crosses up to the lake, whose turquoise waters and white rock faces contrast with the green of the surrounding woods.
