Sorano is a village in the heart of south Tuscany with alleys, courts, ashlar portals, loggias, cellars and external staircases. There is lots to see and lovely wine to be tasted in this beautiful town off-the-beaten path in Tuscany. While exploring the village you can start at Fortezza Orsini, a medieval-style castle. Today this castle is a museum of the middle ages and the Renaissance. Another fortress to visit in Sorano is the Masso Leopoldino.
