The Arberëschë Costume and Gold Museum is housed in the palace built by the Cumano brothers in 1763 and represents a permanent exhibition of the Albanian costume of the Arberëschë tradition in Calabria and, above all, of its valorisation and diffusion. It is a substantial exhibition of original clothing divided by territory – Vaccarizzo’s is the dress of the feast characterized by a wonderful pink color and the typical hairstyle – and presents clothes of the neighboring towns, Piana degli Albanesi and other places marked by the presence arberëschë and, finally, in the upper floor, the museum displays a striking sequence of reproductions of ancient jewelry of the local community of valuable workmanship and symbolism.
