Located in via Roma 10, in Grazzano Visconti, the Wax Museum of Piacenza is the third most important museum in our country, unique in Northern Italy. Visiting this reality means living a journey to discover the art, culture and history of our territory in a completely original way. The Museum offers the possibility to admire the charm of the historical settings by listening to curious anecdotes, from food and wine to court gossip, from the Punic wars to the pomp of the Farnese family. It also crosses the palace of Maria Luigia of Austria, passing by the great music of Giuseppe Verdi. But the museum is not only waxes: the historical representations are in fact supported by various reproductions of objects of the time, such as the famous "Etruscan Liver". Some of the characters represented in the Museum are for example Francesco Petrarca or Maria Luigia of Austria, ruler of Parma. A peculiarity is that it is said that Petrarch himself in one of his raids in Vigolzone inspired the tortelli with the tail.
