The Cathedral houses the splendid dome frescoed by Guercino between 1626 and 1627. In the dome of Piacenza Cathedral you can admire the cycle of frescoes with images of the prophets Aggeo, Osea, Zaccaria, Ezekiel, Micah, Jeremiah, the lunettes in which alternate episodes of Jesus’ childhood, eight fascinating Sybils and the frieze of the drum.
