Memus, the Historical Archive of the Teatro di San Carlo, was born and has activated a complex activity with cultural, scientific and research aims in musicology and theatre. All investigated through the very special lens of musical arts and dance that have written the history of Neapolitan opera.
The project also aims to create a permanent museum space based on innovative technologies (i.e. computer supports, internet network, machinery for the setting up of a permanent virtual museum) and a complex archive that is currently being catalogued.
