Only a hundred meters from the coast of Dubrovnik is the beautiful island of Lokrum, which is easily accessible by boat from the Old Port. The trip takes only 10 minutes. The Fortress, at the highest point of the island, offers spectacular views of the National Park. Playa lovers will not fail to fall in love with Lokrum, as it has some postcard beaches (one of them is for naturists). However, don’t expect a lot of sand, as, as is the case on most of the Croatian coast, the stones are the dominant feature.
In The Throne of Swords Lokrum is transformed into Quarth, the "City of Merchants", located in the continent of Essos. The already mentioned House of the Eternal is located in Quarth, where Daenerys will experience its magic on more than one occasion.
