The Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre. This is the most sacred site of the Christian religion and recalls the place where Jesus was crucified and buried. The original church was built by Emperor Constantine in the 4th century and enlarged by the Crusaders in 1149. It is the Church of Churches as it is home to six different Christian groups: the Greek Orthodox, the Franciscans, the Armenians, the Syrians, the Copts and the Ethiopians and all of them share the same space and traditions.
