The project of the church, built in 1653, is attributed to Flaminio del Turco. The whimsical travertine facade, divided into two tripartite registers, combines structural stylistic features and late Mannerist ornamentation with a compositional exuberance dear to the Roman Baroque. Particularly spectacular is the portal, framed by columns with festooned Ionic capitals, whose jambs are adorned with scrolling ears from which descend large pendants of fruit. The interior of the Church of Santa Lucia has a single nave and preserves a sixteenth-century wooden crucifix by Giovan Battista Alessi, the "Madonna and Child Enthroned" by Luca Signorelli and the table with Saints Jerome, Margaret, Lawrence and Agnes by Gaetano Perpignani.
Under the church there are also traces of the original building dating back to the 12th century.
