The Gothic church of San Tommaso is located in the old part of the village of Cavedago, at an altitude of 900 meters in a panoramic area surrounded by a small cemetery.
It dates back to the mid-1300s and is of Gothic design with late Romanesque influences. The roof has a steep slope and has a Ghibelline pointed bell tower with 4 Romanesque three-light windows. The main façade has a Renaissance portal with frescoes dating back to the construction of the church. Inside the Gothic style triumphs with vaulted ceilings and a polygonal apse, there are also numerous frescoes of the fourteenth century made by minor painters.
In the early twentieth century the church was hit by a fire that destroyed the roof and compromised its structural solidity. Between 1999 and 2002 the church was restored and in this period was realized the suggestive wooden altarpiece depicting the incredulity of St. Thomas, by the sculptor Egidio Petri of Segonzano.
