The variety of nature and the scenic power characterize the Val d’Ambiez, a real gateway to the Brenta Dolomites.
Crossing the valley you will discover a very rich context, dominated by the 3,173 m of Cima Tosa. Particularly appreciated are the sceneries that open up near the Cacciatore refuge (at 1,821 m) and the malghe of Prato and Senaso, up to the Agostini refuge (2,450 m) along the path that crosses the "garden of fossils". This natural treasure chest preserves the remains of megalodonts that lived almost 200 million years ago when a tropical sea stretched out in place of mountains. Don’t miss a visit to San Lorenzo in Banale, included in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
