The civic museum of vintage carriages of Codroipo was inaugurated in 2006 in San Martino, a few steps from Villa Manin di Passariano in the province of Udine, a patrimony of 44 perfectly working vintage cars, with horses, harnesses and travel accessories, a sector dedicated to 19th and 20th century toys, and a sector that will be soon dedicated to sacred vestments of the 18th and 19th century. These are donations and acquisitions. Set in the splendid setting of a Venetian villa, Villa Kechler di S. Martino di Codroipo in the province of Udine, in the 19th century barchessa (a 19th century barn overlooking the historic village), purchased by the Municipality of Codroipo and restored with the intention of strengthening the tourist-cultural offer of the area, which revolves around Villa Manin di Passariano, the museum, housed in the structure of a former spinning mill, is divided into three overlapping connected galleries and three floors of a central tower that houses the fireplaces, used at the time for silkworm breeding and is a new and important cultural resource in the region and in the landscape of the capital of Middle Friuli, characteristic for the natural parks with resurgence rivers, the manor houses and votive churches, the ancient water mills, the offer of farmhouses and typical trattorias, all connected by a dense network of cycle paths.
