Revolted -Lonca and The Church of Santa Cecilia

The little church of Santa Cecilia is one of the votive churches of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The parish church, dating back to the beginning of the 15th century and rebuilt in 1483, has a small rectangular nave with exposed ceiling beams and a square apse with cross vault. On the main facade there is an architraved door surmounted by a small semicircular window and flanked by two side openings; moreover, on the ridge there is a double lancet window; a brick motif runs under the eaves. Inside there is a cycle of frescoes, a work by DimAntonio da Firenze (about 1490). In the sails of the choir vault are represented the evangelists with their symbols, flanked by figures of Cherubs and Angels. In addition there is an altar with a marble altarpiece depicting Saint Cecilia playing .
