Dante’s Tomb is the Neoclassical tomb of the poet Dante Alighieri, which was erected in the Basilica of St. Francis in the centre of Ravenna. The Supreme Poet lived the last years of his life in the city, dying in 1321. The tomb is a national monument and a zone of respect and silence called "Dante’s zone" has been established around it. The area includes the tomb of the poet, the garden with the Quadrarco and the Franciscan cloisters, which house the Museo Dantesco.
