Syracuse | Umbertino Bridge

The Umbertino Bridge takes its name from that of Umberto I, King of Italy at the time when the bridge was rebuilt after the demolition of the Spanish parts. It represents an extension ("u rettifilu", so it is called) of Corso Umberto I and connects "Ortigia" (the old Syracuse) to the new quarters of the city.
