Curious for everyone, but recommended especially for history lovers and especially of ancient Egypt: the Corrado Basile Papyrus Museum in Syracuse is the only one in the world dedicated entirely to the Egyptian map. The exhibits, films and teaching aids take visitors on a journey through time: among other things, it is possible to admire papyri from the 15th century B.C. to the 8th century A.D., fragments of papyri and wooden materials charred in the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., papyri produced in Syracuse since the 18th century, papyrus artefacts (containers, sandals, ropes, mats) and a well-stocked documentation on the origins of papyrus and its processing in Syracuse and Egypt.
