Fontane Bianche is situated in a strategic position, it is only 15 km from Syracuse and its splendid historical centre Ortigia, with its Greek-Roman beauties, and from Noto, the capital of the Baroque. The beach of Fontane Bianche has been defined by the "Sole 24 ore" as the "Tropics of the Mediterranean". The place takes its name both from the natural fresh water fountains that are found in this area, and from the particular white colour of the sand of the beach that extends for about 3 km.
The sea is crystal clear and the seabed is obviously very white: a paradise for divers and lovers of fishing, because beyond the boundaries of the lido, you can see wide cliffs that become magical places to discover. And still for those who do not like to stand still under the hot Sicilian sun, when the wind rises, you can surf or explore the coast by boat to discover other dream places.
