The Stella Maris church, built on a hill overlooking the gulf of Porto Cervo. It was built in the 60’s by the architect Michele Busiri Vici, one of the architects called by the Aga Khan for the first development of the Costa Smeralda.
The facade has a portico in front supported by six monoliths, the bell tower has a cone shape with a very wide base, while on the tip there is an iron cross. The church is a masterpiece of modern architecture. The details of the building are very impressive, such as the windows with decorative frames and the floor with granite slices. There are also precious details such as sculptures and furniture by Luciano Minguzzi.
