Nestled between granite and Mediterranean scrub, the white lighthouse of Punta Sardegna dominates the Archipelago of La Maddalena, in the heart of the Bocche di Bonifacio. After years of neglect, since 1995 it has housed a state-of-the-art Observatory on the Coasts and the Underwater Natural Environment. The view from the lighthouse is truly spectacular, from its position you can admire the whole archipelago, with the islands of La Maddalena and Santo Stefano that seem to be a step away. Wonderful!
