The Senate Square is a truly monumental square, located in the center of Finland’s capital. It is dominated by the Lutheran Cathedral, a neoclassical church, and connects it with the University and the Council Palace. All these impressive buildings were designed by a famous German architect, Carl Ludvig Engel.
Every day something really unique happens in this square, precisely at 17:49: at this moment you can hear a sound installation called "Sound of Senate Square", in which the music from a music box travels from one building to another. The best place to listen to it is near the statue of Alexander II.
