Schwanburg or Swan Castle consists of several buildings overlooking a common courtyard, in which there is still a sundial from 1563. Swan Castle is famous for its private wine cellar, where the wine of the same name is produced and is still today a building inhabited by the descendants of the first owners. The castle was already mentioned as "Haus in der Gaul" (house in the narrow) in the 13th century, in the 14th century the structure was transformed into an imposing residence in typical Renaissance style. In the years between 1560 and 1575, Jakob von Boymundt-Peyersberg gave the castle its present appearance. And it was he who gave the castle the name "Schwanburg", indicating the swan on his family coat of arms. Moreover, this swan is also depicted on the coat of arms of the municipality of Nals. In the old wine cellar there are some oak barrels as well as wooden barrels in the shape of an egg, dating back to the time of Maria Theresa of Austria.
