Piedmont | Lake Viverone

Lake Viverone is the largest of the intermorenic basins originated from the retreat of the Balteo glacier and is located within the Morainic Amphitheatre of Ivrea and is the third largest lake in Piedmont, on the bottom of the lake have been found interesting remains of prehistoric pile-dwellings, which tell prehistoric settlements since the Neolithic age. Still today it seems that a mysterious Lady of the Lake makes her love cry on full moon nights.
