The House of Resistance, founded in 1992 as a permanent exhibition of the Resistance on the initiative of Elio Parlamento "Varzi", president of A.N.P.I. Valle Elvo e Serra, and of the partisans of Sala Biellese, today offers the visitor a historical itinerary of the Biellese partisan movement, making use of a conspicuous photographic and documentary material, supplemented by synthetic explanatory texts, and in particular, deepening themes and events related to the territory of the Serra and the municipality of Sala.
The photographs, original documents, period relics (partisan uniforms, German and Anglo-American military equipment, civilian equipment) and the recurring temporary exhibitions allow the visitor to relive those dramatic events in full, while the original, synthetic, "model of the territory" it makes the physical spaces of the Biellese Resistance well understood.
