Arrived in Largo Santi Apostoli we find the church dedicated to them, we are in the neighboring point of the upper decumanus that later takes the name of Via Anticaglia. Founded in the 5th century and renovated between the end of the 16th century and the middle of the 17th century, the church preserves a wonderful cycle of frescoes by Giovanni Lanfranco. Between 1638 and 1646 the painter from Parma – who in the same years frescoed the dome of the treasure of S. Gennaro – created his Neapolitan masterpiece on the walls and vaults, leaving an indelible mark on the local culture.
