Locorotondo is a beautiful historical village, characterized by beautiful cream-colored buildings well preserved and animated by terraces full of colorful flowers.
This lovely village has the typical features common to the historic towns of Puglia: stone paving, houses with embricious roofs, historic buildings, large stone portals and, just outside, even some trulli scattered here and there.
Geographically we are almost halfway between the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea, a few kilometers away from the town of Martina Franca, which establishes the border between the province of Bari and Taranto.
Locorotondo is understandably considered one of the most beautiful Italian villages. In fact, in addition to its unquestionable charm, the structure of the old town is round, a peculiarity that certainly does not go unnoticed. Its name, in fact, recalls this characteristic: loco (place) round.
It is also one of the liveliest towns of the Apulian hinterland, rich in shops and restaurants. However, its most renowned feature is the tradition of wine production, where some of the most appreciated wines of Apulia are produced.
