Lake Malciaussia, in the province of Turin, is artificial but equally spectacular: it is situated at an altitude of 1,800 metres in the valley of Viù, near the village of Usseglio, and can be easily reached by car. It offers walks, excursions, areas where you can relax and admire eagles, marmots and ibexes in their natural habitat between Mount Lera, Rocciamelone and the Autaret hill that are reflected in the waters of the lake. The Vulpot refuge is a resting place for those who walk along the GTA – Grande Traversata delle Alpi trail.
