Giant Forest and giant redwoods

In the Giant Forest, named after the famous naturalist John Muir in 1875, you can find a considerable number of giant redwoods in the territory of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Among its 8,000 giant redwoods is also the General Sherman, the largest living thing on the planet (as a volume), and many other less famous but equally impressive trees.
