General Sherman Tree is the largest living tree on the planet. Other trees may be taller or wider, but none match the combination of weight and width of this colossus. The General Sherman Tree has a circumference of 31 meters, soars 84 meters into the blue sky of the high Sierra and despite its approximately 2200 years it continues to grow. Every year it adds a quantity of wood that would be sufficient for a tree 18 meters high.
