The Crypt Museum in Monsampolo exhibits the 20 mummies found in the Chapel of the Good Death of the Church of the Holy Assumption during maintenance work on the structure.
Among the pieces found: women’s clothes, men’s waistcoats, socks, headphones, shirts. Once the restoration work was completed, the bodies were reassembled in the rooms where they were found, in the chapel of the ‘Good Death’ and in the adjacent crypt. In these evocative spaces it will be possible to observe not only the mummified bodies, but also the clothes, fabrics, rosaries, medals, rings and all the objects found during the archaeological excavation. The exhibition is completed by interesting works of sacred art, for devotional use, partly found in the ossuaries and others related to the rites of the Brotherhood of the Good Death.
