Franciscan Protoconvent (Pinacoteca Andrea Alfano) and Church of the Holy Trinity. – The imposing complex, situated on Lauro hill, was founded in 1220 by Pietro Cathin, a disciple of St. Francis of Assisi. The convent underwent various transformations, in 1586 the first cloister was rebuilt, on one side of which stood the church and its bell tower.1702 began work on the second cloister next to the first and in 1750 began the construction of the church of the Holy Trinity. The convent was suppressed in 1809.
