Tuscany & Wine | The Gracciano Estate in Montepulciano

Tenuta di Gracciano is one of the oldest estates in the Montepulciano area. The Svetoni family (originally from these lands), owned Gracciano since the early 1800s. The Villa, built at the beginning of the 19th century, is surrounded by an Italian garden which dates back to that period. Gracciano was a very large property of over 400 hectares with 22 farms, where in addition to wine, various products typical of the Tuscan sharecropping were cultivated. Through inheritance the property has come today to the three brothers of the Ferrari Corbelli Silk Greco, Marco, Vannozza and Galdina through their father Giorgio. Currently the company consists of about 70 hectares of which 20 are vineyards. The vineyards are situated on the silty-clayey soils of the Gracciano hills, one of the most prestigious historical crus of Montepulciano.
