Theatres of the World | Margraves’ Opera House

The Opera dei Margravi bears the signature of two famous theatre architects. They were Italian. And that building is a baroque jewel in the city of Bayreuth. The Margraves’ opera house is considered a masterpiece of 18th century theatre architecture and the magnificence of its lively interior decoration has an overwhelming effect on visitors. The most beautiful Baroque theatre in Europe and best preserved to this day was designed by Giuseppe Galli-Bibiena and his son Carlo, the most famous theatre architects of the time.
