The Venturino Venturi Museum occupies the ground floor of the Palazzo Comunale. On display are 92 works (sculptures and drawings) covering a period of more than forty years of activity. Donated by Venturino to his hometown, they fully represent his artistic career and describe the vitality of his contacts with Italian culture.
In the singular reading of the image of Pinocchio, well present in painting in the rooms of the museum, Venturino proposes one of the most representative images of contemporary culture. Venturino’s Mother theme also confirms in the museum’s exhibition space the centrality that it has had for the artist’s entire reflection.
The government building houses several works by contemporary artists, as well as sculptures and sketches by Venturino Venturi, who was born in Loro Ciuffenna in 1918. Famous all over the world for his sketches, paintings and even ceramic works, he has managed to win a special place in the hearts of Tuscans for his Piazzetta dei Mosaici inside the Pinocchio Park in Collodi.
