The Spiš Castle in eastern Slovakia

The Spiš Castle in eastern Slovakia was built in the 12th century in place of another castle. While it was originally built in a Romanesque style, it later adapted Romanesque-Gothic style through a three nave basilica. It’s one of the largest castles in central Europe and now houses a museum.
