The museum of customs and traditions in Teodone near Brunico is considered to be one of the most beautiful open-air museums in Europe. This museum includes an area of 3 hectares. During a visit you can get an insight into the rural life of the past centuries. The heart of the museum is the Mair am Hof, which has been reconstructed in 1690 and reflects the life of the rural nobility. You can visit the wine cellar, the kitchen with domestic supplements, the stucco-decorated ceilings, as well as a large adjacent barn with tools in use several centuries ago. The ground floor is fully accessible for people with mobility problems. In the open air there are about 20 original farmhouses, which have been relocated and reconstructed with their furnishings.
