The MMM Firmian Museum is the first and main seat of the museum complex built by Reinhold Messner, located within the walls of the Firmian Castle, a fortress on top of a hill overlooking the city of Bolzano. The exhibition route winds through the towers, halls and courtyards of the castle, offering an overview of the theme of the mountain through the exhibition of works, relics and natural finds that narrate the relationship between man and the mountain, the genesis of the mountain ranges, the majesty of the most famous peaks and the history of mountaineering.
