The Kaiserliche Schatzkammer (Imperial Treasure Chamber) is a section of the Hofburg where in about ten rooms are exposed the treasures and jewels of the Habsburg emperors. If you have any interest in history and culture I think you should definitely put it on your list of places to visit during your trip to Vienna: the highlights of this collection are the insignia of the Holy Roman Empire (crown, scepter, sacred lance) and the relics of the true cross, apart from their value and their uniqueness are the symbols of temporal power that ruled much of Europe for almost a millennium. The crown is the one with which Charlemagne has always been portrayed.
