Scotland contains many enchanted places that are worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Among them is the Isle of Skye, with its magical Fairy Pools, otherwise known as "fairy pools". They are part of a waterway that descends from the Cuillin Mountains. This stream brings with it a wealth of waterfalls and fascinating colours.
The best time to visit them is after a day of light rain, when the sky will still be partly covered by clouds, so you can admire them at their best. In such circumstances the surface of the water does not reflect light excessively, a phenomenon that could be disturbing to the observer.
