The Celestial Temple in Beijing

Celestial Temple, the largest of all temples, and was a sacred place where the Ming and Qing emperors officiated at the worship of Heaven three times a year. That is why the complex consists of three buildings: the Yuanqiu Tan (Circular Altar); the Huangqiong Yu (Heavenly Imperial Vault); and the Qinian Dian (Temple of Prayer for Good Harvests).
