The castle of Penne is a 12th century castle, located in the commune of Penne in the Tarn in the Midi-Pyrenees .Suspended in an almost unnatural position over the gorges of l’Aveyron it is now almost in ruins. The picturesque alleyway of the old village, lined with beautiful houses, leads to the fortress and you can also walk a themed trail, perfect for children. From the top of the chateau you can admire one of the most beautiful views of the Tarn region, from the hills to the vineyards of Gaillac, from the forest of Grésigne to the gorges of the Aveyron.
