Puycelsi, the fortress in the forest

Puycelsi is known as the impregnable village surrounded by the Gresigne forest and for this reason nicknamed "the fortress in the forest". Built on a rocky spur, it offers a priceless view of the region and has been listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France (the equivalent of our most beautiful villages in Italy). Walking through the narrow alleys of the village you can still breathe the medieval atmosphere. The citadel has been completely restored to its former glory and is one of the unmissable stops in the Tarn area.
