The Bastion is another historic landmark and one of the main points of interest in Riva del Garda, particularly for history lovers. Built at the northern end of the lake, the Bastion stands on a hill and offers breathtaking views of the area and the town below.
The tower dates back to 1508, but the path leading to it is much more modern and comfortable: it is quite easy to reach with a 15-20 minute hike from Via Monte Oro along a beautiful road through the green woods.
