The Alabama Hills are a range of hills and rock formations near the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada in the Owens Valley, west of Lone Pine in Inyo County, California, United States.Lone Pine is a very nice little cowboy town. Behind it stand the Alabama Hills and the great Sierra Nevada with its highest peak Mt Whitney. The panorama is breathtaking. You can drive through the Alabama Hills on a sandy road which will give you a great view of the area.
