Roman necropolis of Voghenza

The Archaeological Area includes a monumental necropolis from the Imperial Age (I-III century A.D.) with two funerary enclosures, a sarcophagus and some inscriptions. The area is always visible from the outside of the fence, even if in winter the artefacts are covered to protect them from the weather. The objects found during the excavations, including some exquisitely crafted finds, and the materials recovered in the town of Vicus are on display in the Civic Museum of Voghiera (Via Provinciale, tel. 0532 328511) housed in the evocative Delizia Estense del Belriguardo.
