It is a phenomenon of worldwide interest, with a thousand suggestions. It originates from the myth of Morgana, a fairy of Celtic origin who induced fantastic visions in sailors to lure them into a trap and lead them to drown.
A beautiful statue by Fata Morgana" it was made by the sculptors Francesco Caridi and Filippo Malice and placed on a rock on the promenade of Reggio in the direction of the street of the same name in 2006, unfortunately it was seriously damaged and removed.
