After visiting the National Archaeological Museum or returning from a morning at sea, the fifth leg of our trip is in Corso Garibaldi: whether it is sophisticated or pop, shopping in Reggio Calabria happens here. It is the living room of the city and has elegant boutiques, pastry shops, and lovely craft shops where you can choose the right souvenir of this city. Artistic ceramics, silks or damasks, delicacies with chili pepper, cured meat or typical sweets are all framed in exceptional showcases, the elegant palaces in Art Nouveau style that are the feature of the street. It is a lively kilometer, livened up by tourists and above all by the Reggio people, who engage in their "Struscio",the Saturday night or Sunday morning walk. By the way, an essential purchase here is bergamot oil, an incredible elixir of long life: here they have even dedicated a museum to it.
