As evident as it may be, the Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar is a little frequented place. The fortified cloister dominates Vila Nova de Gaia from above, but does not receive frequent visitors. It is highly recommended to visit this monument because of its 16th century architectural style and the unusual circular shape of the cloister and the church.
