The Caffè Poliziano is an old Art Nouveau Café opened in 1868, located in the historic centre of Montepulciano. The spacious, elegant and refined Caffè Poliziano is one of Italy's Historical Places. Over the years, generations of Poliziani and tourists from all over the world have looked out from its balcony, which opens onto the splendid scenery of the Valdichiana. Many famous people have passed through its halls, year after year and over two centuries. Organized on two floors, with its three rooms, two balconies and the large panoramic terrace, at Caffè Poliziano you can start your day with a rich sweet or savoury breakfast, or stop for lunch and dinner for a quick snack or to enjoy the traditional Tuscan dishes. It is also possible to stop for an aperitif or to taste the splendid wines of Montepulciano, selected from among the best labels in the area, accompanied by Pienza cheeses and other local specialties; or to relax, sipping one of the more than forty types of tea and herbal teas or, why not, a hot chocolate, together with the sweets prepared by the Caffè's pastry chef.
